Porous Asphalt

Hooker Creek is pleased to announce that the first Porous Asphalt commercial project in Central Oregon has been named an award finalist by the Asphalt Pavement Association of Oregon.   The parking lot of the Hooker Creek Equipment Rental and Supply Store in Redmond has been named a finalist in the commercial/industrial division.   Winners will be announced at the annual APAO Awards Banquet on February 23rd. 


Hooker Creek is pleased to be the first paving contractor in Central Oregon to produce porous asphalt.    Porous Asphalt is a more environmentall friendly option to the traditional paving paving products.The advantages to using porous asphalt include:
    No need for storm drainage structures, pipes or detention ponds.
    Eliminates the worry of tight drainage areas.
    Reduces runoff into area canals, lakes and streams.
    Reduced winter ice and snow buildup.
    Maximizes LEED points.
    Reduces puddling.

Porous Asphalt can be used for commercial, highway and residential paving projects. 

We are very excited to announce that Hooker Creek paving crews recently completed the FIRST COMMERCIAL POROUS ASPHALT PAVING PROJECT IN CENTRAL OREGON.  It is be the parking lot at the new Redmond Hooker Creek Equipment Rental Store located at 1607 SW Veterans Way in Redmond, Oregon.
